Travel Diaries | Abu Dhabi
6 Hours in Abu Dhabi
It was on a recent trip to Dubai, we decided to see the famous Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, visit the new Louvre Museum and enjoy traditional Lebanese food. Architecture, art, design and good food are always a recipe for a great time for me, besides, it was all a skip-and-a-hop away!
The architecture is inspire by Mughal, Ottoman and Persian architecture, combining both modern and traditional architectural details. The building materials for the Grand Mosque came from countries such as New Zealand, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Pakistan, Italy, Germany, Austria, China and India, and it took 11 years to build.
Louvre Abu Dhabi
The architecture of the Louvre Abu Dhabi was extraordinary - I found myself captivated by how the water features were integral to the flow of the interior space.
Our favorite highlights of the collection at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
So there you have it, 6 hours of our day trip, and lots of memories to take back with us, and endless design inspiration to fuel our creative work!
