The Amsterdam Residence is a full gut renovation designed for a young family seeking a home that balances modern comfort with timeless architectural character. Reimagining the classic bones of this prewar co-op, we reinterpreted traditional detailing through a contemporary lens—pairing clean lines, sculptural forms, and a refined materials palette with the warmth and proportion of the original architecture.

Every space was thoughtfully redesigned to support family living, from the custom millwork and updated kitchen to the serene bedrooms and sophisticated gathering rooms. The result is a modern residence grounded in classical roots: elegant, functional, and crafted for the rhythm of everyday life.
