A Water Mill home designed for all four seasons.
This Water Mill renovation reimagines a classic Hamptons home as a refined full-time residence, designed to be lived in comfortably throughout all four seasons. The renovation focused on enhancing architectural flow, natural light, and proportion, creating interiors that feel calm, cohesive, and timeless. Soft curves, custom millwork, and a restrained material palette establish a sense of quiet elegance, while thoughtful spatial planning supports everyday living as well as entertaining.
Throughout the home, custom furnishings, bespoke cabinetry, and carefully detailed stone finishes reinforce a tailored, enduring approach to luxury interior design. Bathrooms and secondary spaces were elevated through custom stonework and subtle material variation, balancing craftsmanship with restraint. The result is a luxury Hamptons home renovation that prioritizes longevity, comfort, and architectural integrity—an interior designed to age gracefully while supporting the rhythms of daily life in Water Mill.
View into the kitchen from the rotunda, which was constructed as an octagon and finished in a pale blue high gloss lacquer.
A vintage settee, upholstered in a durable, beach friendly fabric sits opposite a delicate vessel balanced on a marble center table in the foyer.
The double height living room features an original wood burning fireplace. The seating area elegantly balances vintage and modern furniture, anchored by a custom wool and silk rug whose design was inspired by light reflecting off water ripples.
The dining area bridges the open plan layout of the first floor living room. A vintage table is paired with custom made dining chairs, upholstered in fabric that is durable for gatherings and delicate enough to feel sophisticated.
The open plan kitchen is thoughtfully designed for easy entertaining and functional for everyday life. The paneled transitions are of curly maple - a wood typically used to make guitars.
The primary bedroom is a serene oasis featuring a soft cream and rose color palette.
The island in the kitchen pairs a beautiful and hardwearing natural quartzite counter with cerused walnut millwork, which complements the warm cerused white oak of the rest of the kitchen. The backsplash was tiled in a large format antiqued glass tile to give the kitchen some sparkle when entertaining in the evenings.
